Can see it going to a replay/extra time, two evenly matched sides

Ash can win this, but I think O'Mahonys have a little more forward power,it will be close but O'Mahonys for me.Of course I am an Ashbourne lad,so I hope I am wrong :)

Would it go to a replay or to extra time then a replay? Sticking my neck out and saying Ashbourne by one

Omahonys 4 me far more threat up front if they can break even at worst in mid field where they struggle they will win this

Going to be some match, Looking forward to it. Have a feeling could be a great match with a big crowd which would be unusual for two urban teams but its a novel pairing

Don/Ash by 3 , seem to be far hungrier side than they were last year
Despite both sides fire power think it will be a low scoring affair but Donaghmore will win it
out and deservably so

Would mean a huge amount to Don/Ash and I'm predicting a very tight affair! Don/Ash pushed them closer than anyone the last time they met in the championship and I hope they can come out on the right side of the result this time| Experience will stand to O'Mahony's but I think that the hunger of Donaghmore will be enough to edge it...

O mahonies quite poor defensively in my opinion, Don/Ash to win by 2 or 3

Meathgaa5 - Not so sure about your analysis. Was at both match and the NOM attack were poor for 3/4 of the game but came alive in the last quarter. Keeping the opposition to 10 points will generally win most matches. Na Fianna even though ending with 12 players on the pitch scored 12 points. I think the game is 50/50 and whoever wants it most will win assuming that the man in the middle keeps the decisions fairly balanced.

Between the two sets of forward I would say Navan are a bit more dangerous. But don/ash look a lot stronger in midfield and defence, so I'd say Ashbourne will win by 2/3

nom started well and finished strong without some top forwards not at their best

Ashbourne have a great defence and midfield but have a blunt forward line apart from Tormey and deegan from frees. O'Mahonys are suspect at the back and not great at midfield but brilliant in the forwards. Two evenly matched teams.

I would STRONGLY fancy O'Mahonys,if they had a fully fit Kev Reilly.

I can't agree that O'Mahonys have a weak defence. Look at the scores they have conceded in championship games since Davy Nelson took over 3 years ago. He has completely changed how they play. Their defence is the reason they are in the final and the reason they won 2 years ago. Easily the best in the county.

45 points conceded in the Group Stages as well, by far the best record of any team (Also by far and away the best record in the league despite only finishing mid-table). Donaghmore/Ashbourne are stronger in midfield and it's probably even enough up front. O'Mahonys have some big names in there but are reliant on Bray.

Donaghmore/Ashbourne need to start their best players as well instead of leaving them on the sideline. I have been very surprised with some of their team selections. I could be wrong I don't know if players are out form but certainly they had some very experienced players not starting against Na Fianna.
