What do people think about Dunboyne this year? Lost their championship opener to Duleek but won their next two games and have also qualified for the league final and Feis cup final. Possible contenders this year?

Good point, great side looking very strong this year, hard to say as like every year the massive gap means teams can peak at the right time and cause a shock. Last year with summerhill for example but personally i fancy O'Mahonys or don/ash

never so glad to see a round of club football come along, take our minds of the county scene!

Looking at the face of it, most groups seem sewn up at this stage already though - that being said I haven't taken any time to see who still has to play who so I may be wrong

Dunboyne are going well at the moment but when the championship gets serious they will come unstuck,Gillespie a huge lost to summerhill but I still think they will be hard bet if they make it out of the group,Castletown for intermediate with ballinlough pushing them and between curragha and meath hill for junior, yee heard it hear first

Great to see Championship matches back on. Ridiculous that they are held up because of the players involved in the County Team. Most of those County Lads could do with the extra games anyway to toughen them up.

this might be way off the mark, but I think the 3rd and 4th round of the championship should be played without county players.
These are the two rounds of the championship that are alwas affected by the Meath team. The 4th round of the qualifers is the further Meath are going to get for the foreseeable future. So the county players will be back by the first week of August. Play the 5th round that weekend and the championships will be finished by the middle of september.

Why play any club championship matches without your county players . Load of bull wrapping guys up in cotton wool . I reckon you ask any county player would he prefer to play or train and he will want to get game time . These guys are involved for the love of playing and for the life of me I cant understand why county boards are killing club football for the elite few .Its a self fulfilling prophesy ! Time to change how we operate and show some leadership and give meaning back to club football. Might even reap some benefits at inter county level . Current system or lack of one certainly isn't working .

I think Donaghmore/Ash will be very hard to beat.If someone beats them this year, they will be champions. My dark-horses were Simonstown(before a ball was kicked), they are going very nicely indeed, yet some here laughed...

You must be on a different planet to think they may have a chance quite frankly

After a dissapointing run the last time out The Great Glenny has really took time out and studied the form and is confident of getting a high % this thime out
JFC C semi-finals
Blackhall Gaels v Simonstown Tight one this Blackhall have suffered few injueies and illness recenlty and are need result in Senior this week end also. Will they sacrefice the Junior C maybe not as Senior is bit beyond them. Simonstown did well to beat Ultans and the club is going well in all three Championships. Close one but Simonstown might edge it
St Patrick's v Syddan Pats where poor last year and got bit of a shock to be demoted they are stronger this yaer going well here and in B League. Syddan will be stuborn and word is Tom Dillon is home from Oz to play. Long trip but dont think it be worth it Pats to win.

JFC D semi-finals
Clann na nGael v Longwood Tough call here Clan have been trying to win the D for a long time just about got tru group and only narrowly won their Quarter. I hear they are stronger with few lads back from suspension and injury. Think they may make the Final.
Seneschalstown v Ballinlough Seneschalstown got a bit of a test in quareter 1st test all year. Ballinlough club on a high but numbers bit low and that may hit them Senechalstown by 7 or 8.

Blackhall Gaels v Duleek-Bellewstown. Think Blackhall wont be good enough Duleek to win
Wolfe Tones v St Peter's, Dunboyne .......Tie of the round Ageing Tones v up and coming Dunboyne Dunboyne going well in Feis Cup and League Finals dont think they make 3 Finals but may win here
St Patrick's v Summerhill.. Anything other than a Summerhill easy win will be a suprise but Pats like suprises... Litte suprise here Pats to get close but Hill to win

Meade Potato Co IFC
Castletown v Dunderry ...... Top of the table clash really both are tru so no big pressure Castle town to win
Kilmainham v Longwood Neither much good Longwood should win
Ballinabrackey v St Michael's.... Bracks seem to have collasped break may have done them good, Mikes not too bad and can win aclose one
St Colmcilles v Syddan.... Cills as usual not good enough, Syddan walloped Drumbaragh last time out, should win here
St Ultan's v Donaghmore/Ashbourne.... Ash 2nds doing well to compete and will test Ultans but Ultans to make a spurt and avid relegation

Teach na Teamhrach JFC
St Peter's, Dunboyne v Drumconrath... Drums tru no matter what Dunboyne need the points that maybe enough to see them win nothing like backs to the wall stuff although Drums feel that way always fair test maybe a draw
O'Mahonys v Clonard... Both need win OMahonys have plenty of youth but so have Clonard. OMahonys to win

JFC B
Walterstown v Duleek-Bellewstown...... Duleek pulling up
St Mary's v Donaghmore/Ashbourne.... Good test for Marys after their collaspe last day should get back on track
Moynalvey v St Vincent's.... Both tru Vincents should win

Sunday 17 August

hoganstand.com SFC
Seneschalstown v Simonstown..... Seneschalstown are doing grand just outside the top 4 or 5. Simonstown are strong this year club is benifitting from having Shane ORourke, Conor Sheridan and Seamus Kenny playing as they did not play in 2013. Simonstown to win
O'Mahonys v Gaeil Colmcille..... Hard to see anything but a Navan win Big pitch will suit them Kells will try hard and can cause a shock but I think they will come up short
Walterstown v Dunshaughlin............. Two poor teams not really in with a chance of winning anything Dunshaughlin not just as poor and should win
Na Fianna v Moynalvey.... Moynalvey will be spirited but Na Fianna should be better, they are improving all the time and had a good run in Div 1 league. They will win but not by much
Rathkenny v Donaghmore/Ashbourne.... Ashbourne are the form team and the team to be bet by anyone who wants to win the Keegan Cup. Rathkenny have good record against them but Ash to win

Meade Potato Co IFC
Drumbaragh v Nobber. Drumbaragh got wake up last day to Syddan, Nobber prob better than Syddan so that spells danger for Bara with Nulty and McNamara. Nobber to give themselves a chance to lift their season
Ballinlough v Trim.... Ballinlough on fire cant be beaten lately and that should continue here
Ratoath v Carnaross..... Carnaross will find this hard but that wont bother them they like it like that but they wont be good enough to cause a shock

Teach na Teamhrach JFC
Curraha v Cortown Tie of the round, Cortown ageing legs v young upstarts from Curraha. Nothing certain here and could be a prelude to Junior Final. Both are through and maybe Curraha will win this one but not the big one
Skryne v Dunsany..... Relegation battle, local derby can Dunsany improve on last round and get a win hard to say think they might
Summerhill v Kilmainhamwood... Wood are finished for now and Summerhill are tru so easy win for the Hill and maybe 2nd in the group
Moylagh v Meath Hill.... All at stake here so there be no quarter given or asked as both look for a quarter spot. Ref will need eyes in the back of his head and be strong Meath Hill by a few
Boardsmill v Bective... Relegation game again but nno contest Bective easy
St Brigid's v Simonstown... In a tight group another tight game hard to call Brigids maybe or no maybe a draw

JFC B
Trim v Moynalty. Moynalty in quarters Trim tru too, Moynalty will want to set a marker over the team that bet them in 2010 0r 11 final and will do that
