NFL Division Two Match Ratings to Date

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Ok just a idea let's see what others think of div 2 teams on a match by match basis

Meath 8/10 good forwards. Midfield needs sorting but best in this week

Tyrone 7/10. Took goals well and opened up a porous Kildare defense but only played for 35 mins

Galway 6/10. Surprised me with victory dark horses will be difficult to break down

Kildare 5/10. No forwards of note back line poor. Not by any means a top 4 team. Could struggle to get promoted

Louth. 5/10. Took victory against a depleted wmeath no surprise in win but that may be end of it

Derry 4/10. Didn't play up to expectations may struggle and severe dent to promotion ambitions

Monaghan 4/10. Some good individual players both not connecting as a team. Needs to take time while going for scores

Westmeath. 2/10. Will struggle to get any points on this performance. Needs Garycastle players back asap

Well just my view. What's everyone elses ?

Think your being very kind to us there.
Also, Louth above Derry?

agree with Jinxie here,it looks like only a terrible performance can stop us winning next week..

Jinxie these based totally on this weeks performance and results. Louth won derry lost. In the big picture no way would I have louth ahead of derry. Think every other team will beat louth easily in the campaign

So you think our win against Monaghan was better than Tyrone's win against Kildare or Galways win up in Derry??

That's fair enough, but Derry lost to a decent Galway side. Louth had a one man win against a very poor Westmeath team.

But other than that I see your logic.

I recorded the Tyrone game and just watched it after derry v galway and I'd prob nudge them ahead Meath.
I'd prob have Galway/Meath level with Tyrone very slightly ahead after the weekend.

But everyone to their own. That's what this is about.

Would be hopeful that the likes of Kildare might lose another match early and end up not being in the promotion chase so may take their foot off th egas. Would really like to get into division 1 but when I look at the division, Tyrone, Kilare and probably Derry are better than us.

Yes but next week will be different, everyone will take points off each other in this division(exception Louth and Westmeath),we surely have to beat our western neighbours next week..

Great result for Galway, would suggest they will be one of the teams chasing promotion along with Tyrone. I'd still expect Kildare to be there or thereabouts. Ourselves and Derry will probably be mid table, with Monaghan, Louth and Westmeath at the bottom. I lost count of the number of successive hand passes Galway made at times v Derry. Not pretty but effective, if players have the stamina.

To be honest I was going to have tyrone first then us but they only scored 3 points in first half despite having most of possession for first 15 mins. That was only reason but meath ahead this week but its all about opinions and I'm not saying mine are right. I actually think they promotion battle is tyrone meath galway and derry. Can see derry beating kildare and maybe we beating kildare too. Could be wrong but aint it great how quite all the kildare lads are today. Not one of them on

Not sure too many pundits outside the county would have us ahead of Tyrone and Kildare. Not sure too many inside the county would either. Good win last night, let's not get carried away.

Don't think kildare are that far ahead of us or many in div 2. I don't buy into this top 4 thing my view there well behind kerry cork dub and tyrone now throw in armagh after this weekend and prob mayo too. Kildare aint won anything. And surely if the have eyes on holy grail then need to be winning div easily is that going to happen? I can't see it. Now in the long run and bigger scheme of things are the better than us at minute. ? Maybe. But I still would not fear them in navan

In fariness, He clearly states that he's rating the teams AFTER THE ONE GAME THAT HAS BEEN PLAYED.

Many you werent able to decipher that for the initial post.

still believe jinxie he is blowing a meath win over monaghan a tad bit out of proportion..when it gets to round 5 or 6 maybe you could take ratings then..loyal to the royal has a bit of sense..

Give us your own rating based ONLY on the weekends games.

For the record I had said that I thought he was being kind to meath, but for some reason youve chose to overlook that.

We put up a big score against Laois at the start of last years FL2 campaign, (in atrocious conditions), but it certainly didn't build into a run of good games. Be realistic, Monaghan are poor. Kicked an unbelievable amount of wides. We're not convincing on kickouts either.

For starters please let me state again this was weekly ratings not where they stand at minute and lillywhite if I was doing it on 5 weeks I'd call it 5 weekly ratings or monthly ratings if doing it by month or fortnightly if doing it 2 weekly. But I did it WEEKLY!! Next week kildare might be top or tyrone it is just a opinion on the games of that particular weekend. Not future not standings in top teams etc. And in hindsight I think I did one team a dis service in my initial ratings and I'm going to put that right. New team of week. Galway 8.5/10. I think to achieve a win in deryy with a largely young inexperienced team deserved a higher mark than I gave. Sorry but that pushes us down to second and all others same. But please people read post before saying we are not better than kildare. This week in my view a 5 point win against a 5 point
Loss is a better outcome and deserves a higher score. But lillywhite what ratings would you have given? By all means put up yours I'd love to see them

So just to be clear it was a weekly rating and next week ill try to do same and I'm sure as it evolves so will ratings

Monaghan are a very ordinary side no doubt about it. You can't compare Meath beating Monaghan to Tyrone beating Kildare. The latter two will comfortably deal with the Farney as time will tell. It's either one extreme or the other with a lot of Meath supporters! If it's not all doom and gloom, then we're hailing ourselves as League champions elect. No middle ground with some people.
