I'm told most if not all the injured guys will miss the westmeath game, meade seems to be gone for awhile, rowe won't be involved unless they go a long way. I think Jones might make next game if they get past westmeath but someone from dunboyne told me that they wouldn't put money on it. Halligan not due back either. Not sure about mcgowan. Tho in fairness most of these guys have been missing since the start so team settled enough and management I'm told are quietly confident, but you never know in this Grade and it's knockout

Jones does seem to be injury prone and his career has barley started. I wonder if we are capable of winning with all these injuries? If we can just get by Westmeath,we will at least have Conlon for the game after.

Think Jones gets hurt because of his aggressive physical playstyle. He is doing running training but no contact. Almost certain he won't play

How can you say he's injury prone after one shoulder injury?

I think McGowan will miss the first game - he is just back training so it might be just a bit early for him. Pity he would be a great addition.

Gavin McGowan is just back from a stress fracture in his foot which has had since before Christmas! He trained (lightly) this week but I will be surprised if he is back for the first round.

Team announced, have to say I like the look of the bench more than the starting team but think that might be down to lads who were injured. Gutted I can't make it but hope they do the business

There is some serious looking talent on that bench alright. A few lads there who you would think would be definite starters, only that they were missing earlier through injury or unavailability. Fair play to the management team for sticking with the players who have done well up until now - I hope it doesn't backfire on them.

Best of luck to Barry and his 21s tonight. The team and the bench look strong! Upfront Moriarty, Smith and Campion are all young lads but great prospects!
