The championship is wide open and I'd imagine anyone from summerhill, ratoath , kells, dunboyne ,simonstown and the tones believe they can win it out.
If ratoath get everyone back they'll be hard bet especially in pairc tailteann

In fairness kells haven't a hope of winning it. Decent side but one of the weakest midfields in the senior. Moynalvey better placed than kells or Tones on current form

They don't seem to be motoring at the minute , but if they get to the quarter finals I'm sure they'll fancy themselves.

That is only based on history. They do not have the players to be anywhere near contenders for keegan. Will do well to get out of group

Although I don't think they'll win it I Wouldn't say they haven't a hope , there the only team in Meath to make it to the last two semi finals of the championship.
I'd fancy them to beat moynalvey.

Don/Ash are going to need a miracle to qualify now. They'll need a massive win over D/B and hope that Summerhill beat Wolfe Tones.

Would agree with you -saying they have no hope is a downright silly comment.

ARe they not knocked out tonight because they lost to Tones and it will go to head to head if they are equal on points

Ash and Tones was a draw, Ash need the following to go through in third on head to head
1. Beat Duleek - most likely
2. S'hill to beat Tones - S'hill will be favourites but have already qualified - 50/50
3. Two results above overturn a 29 points score difference

99% out.

Donaghmore Ashbourne still have the slightest of chances as Count mentioned. But Summerhill have already qualified as group winners so I can't see them putting too much effort into their game with Tones.

Apologies I thought tones Beat Ash. Still very unlikely, tones 2 points ahead with a score 29 better score difference. Don Ash need a miracle

I stand by what i said. Don Ash are a shadow of a few years ago and but for a howler by one of their defenders who handpassed direct to kells forward for their second goal, they could actually have gotten a result last night. Poor standard in Senior, legitimate argument to reduce numbers to 12 teams and make championship competitive again

We in trouble so that even if it was reduced both kells and donaghmore would be in most people's top 6 never mind 8.

Silly comment with no taught put into it.

It was actually a decent game ok some poor shooting by both sides but some good hits great tackling by both teams and pretty intense game really

Last round of senior
Group A sees Duleek sure to be in relegation. Rathkenny nothing but pride to play for. Ashbourne need a cricket score as Summerhil will beat tones.
Group B Skryne look in trouble as ratoath and dunboyne clear other 3 in with a shout
Group C Blackhall almost sure in relegation cilles out but will be wary of score difference big clash in omahonys and seneschalstown

It's past time to restructure the Meath Senior Championship. 18 Senior teams based on current quality is about 6 too many but that sort of reduction is not likely to get approval. So instead, how about this,

Relegate 3 senior teams next year, the bottom team from each group
Promote Intermediate champions as per normal
Move to 4 groups of 4, three games each
Two top from each group into quarter finals
Bottom team from each group into relegation play off

We struggled at times to break down the Skryne defence but eventually ground out the win. We would have lost that type of game last year I'd say.
Our injury list just seems to keep growing. While J Wallace was back, we lost two defenders to injury during the game with Brian Power also out injured. Can't see us having enough to beat Dunboyne in the last game but thankfully we're safely through regardless of that result.
