he was roasted last night by O'Brien. O'Brien hit some good scores from play of the left boot. He is more suited to corner back. Murphy is the preferred centre back.
Wallace ran riot as well.

he played well enough, the two mcgills were also solid at the back. boyle got on a lot of breaking ball and drove forward well.

Anyone got further views on Skryne now.

Think they looked a reasonable outfit against Na Fianna. perhaps should have won, Kicked some great points.

However its their own fault, not winning with a 5 point lead half way through the 2nd half.

Think they will survive myself.

BTW. dont know why POR got a red card. All I saw was him being surrounded by half of Enfield.

Some conditions in Ashbourne last night. Was impressed with Ratoath. Again mistakes cost Dunshaughlin. Two goals were gifted to Ratoath. In saying that, they were the better team. Seemed to have free men all over with plenty of time on the ball. Wallace stood out for me. O'Brien kicked a couple of good points, but that was it. Big McGill at full back was good but no ball went in direct for him to be really tested. In the night that was in it, Dunshaughlin seemed to run every ball through the hand. It will be some battle for third in that group

Ye some battle !!
Pats to beat a poor Dunshaughlin team who only scored one point from play last night and that was fisted over, only scorers were Toolin and Dwyer. As I've said before past glory has no barring on today's form and right now Dunshaughlin are struggling, could easily end up
In lower grade next year , have barely survived over past years
Ratoath were miles better last night and if it was a dry night the gap would have been more

In fairness they were in a relegation playoff in 2012. That was the only year they were near the drop. Barely survived is a slight exaggeration. I think Ratoath will do well

He held his own when he came on. Goal was a bit fortuitous in how it came about but he took it well. Tom Fadden is another great prospect (in both codes).
First goal from Eamonn was an absolutely cracking goal. I'd expect us to go on and beat Skryne next time out (especially with POR missing). Should be a great final game of the group against Dunboyne. Hope that's in Dunshaughlin rather than Ashbourne as it's less prone to the elements.

Bit of confusion here - Michael ahearn was number 6 for dunshaughlin and was up against bobby O'Brien - O'Brien did well in that

Connal ahern played for Ratoath - came on in second half for Fadden - did well enough

Both he and Fadden are good prospects but probably won't get much game time when brian McMahon and the younger Wallace are back. McMahon was waterboy last night and still looked fitter than many on the pitch!! Ha!

Should have won considering that they were winning by 4 points most of the match, however NaFianna shot for goal 4 or 5 times when an easy point was there for the taking. Mc Queeney was a big loss as he got injured a couple of days ago it appears. Skryne moved the ball well and Big O'Rourke was threat every time the ball was landed in high. The Ref made a few curious decisions in the last 15 mins and gave Skryne a free in extra time and then proceeded to consult the umpire and throw up the ball. The last 20mins was played in near dark!.

When the reshuffle of the grades were done a few years ago dunshaughlin would have been relegated only there was no relegation that year
And have not gotten out of the group stages for a lot of years
All I'm saying is along with a few other of the club who would have been perennial challengers Dunshaughlin will have to fight to get back to where they can be considered as contenders for the Keegan cup

I would fear for Dunshaughlin after seeing them last night, they were quite poor and one point from play tells its own tale, conditions or not. They have St Pats next, Skryne have Ratoath and Na Fianna have Dunboyne, sticking the neck out I'd go for St Pats, Ratoath and Dunboyne to win, Dunshaughlin v Skryne in last round could have some serious consequences attached to it

Tom Fadden is minor, and would be an inside Forward at that age anyway

I would have thought so. Came on against Na Fianna the report says so obviously senior now

He's 18 (he's playing with the Meath minor hurlers this year) I believe. Played half forward against Pats and scored 1-1. Found it more difficult on Monday but still played well.
For Dunshaughlin, I think they should ultimately stay up. The game against Skryne will probably decide which one of them goes into the relegation playoff. But either side should have enough for Duleek/Bellewstown. Can't see them surviving this year (though I did say that last year).
