I dont know what way they are working it but if Warwickshire won we would have been heading over there....i was hoping for a trip away!

I'd expect that KK probably requested it to be in Kilkenny and the county board accepted it. No problem with that. Let's face it, we should win regardless of where it's played.

Interestingly I see that Junior semi final is fixed for Saturday July 22nd, the same day as Round 4A of the qualifiers is due to be played, if we lucky enough to have two teams out that day I hope some sense prevails regarding venues.

I wouldn't worry too much about that possibility.

So, according to the board, Inter-county matches and club championships can't even be played a week apart...yet an inter-county Qualifier and an inter-county Junior Semi-Final can be both played on the same weekend? Makes no sense to me.

According to the board now you can play junior allireland semi final then 2 days later play club championship its mind boggling as well as no thought for players.disgusted at this stage.clowns

apologies - pretty sure the KK GAA site originally had it down for 12 which seemed odd for an All Ireland Semi to be fair!

Also I know it's only kilkenny and I expect our lads to win and win well and I understand the Gaa are probably trying to promote football in kilkenny and give them a leg up on the footballing side of things but imo no team in an All Ireland semi final regardless if it's junior or senior should have home advantage. I still expect meath to win but that's my 2 cents worth. Should be neutral venue all the way

Yeah have to agree, its not as if the Cats will have a huge crowd cheering them on or anything like it, Newbridge or Carlow would have been grand.

Huge crowd .................there wont be 300 people there and 250 of that will be Meath.... Its Kilkenny and Football we are on about dont be surprised if it not played on the back pitch with some Junior Hurling Club match in main pitch
