Replying To royaldunne:  "Sorry I didn't mean literally, I was using poetic license, actually it was a typo as it should have read 17 Sligo lads. Perhaps you would have got then what I was saying. I didn't count how many Sligo players were around him, but there was just him with maybe if you want precisely id say 3.
Todays generation need everything explained in great detail, rather than getting the jist of what is the bigger picture.
Tell me what your view on people shouting to hoof ball into a well-marked one man? Honestly"
Royalthumb

If you speak factually on this forum people might, might take you seriously.

As for those saying let it in, they are paying punters and perhaps just using their poetic licence too

Lads I was very critical of Graham Reilly the last day but come on..What's with the witch hunt against him ! Other players can play poorly but very little said about it ! When he finishes people will be screaming for him back ! Let's just enjoy him and other players get behind the team for next week !

But what you want, you critical of rd been critical of others opinions then criticised HIS opinion. Is that not double standards?
Anyway what the hell do some of you want, you come off a drubbing , and ye win against a team with qualifier win, first in five years. Take the win and move on, ye not all ire contender, last 8 would be progress after a good league. Ye 2 wins away from that. Its not 80s ye have no devine right to dismiss Sligo and complain about only winning by 2. Ye are coming from a all time low with a good manager in first year. Look at Kildare and where they were last two years. Don't get ahead of yourselves. Baby steps. Would ye have won that game last year, I doubt it as ye were hammered in second halve every game ye played.

This is why I defend him so much. There is unfortunately a clear witch hunt against him.
We dont often agree but no matter what the lad does he is ostracised. I dont know why he keeps playing at all. He will be sadly missed when he steps aside, he is in twilight of his career. And some people just look for anything or better still make up stuff to do the guy down. Is he great every game ? Certainly not. But does he deserve the bs he gets from some Meath folk ? Absolutely not. While others get a free ride.

if somebody said after the Kildare game that you will be playing Sligo next and it will be ugly arm wrestle with heart stopping moments and Meath will win by the skin of their teeth !...i probably take underpants and all of him :/ (including two weeks worth of underpants scrappings)

Back Door game are not meant to be pretty ...we were never going to beat Sligo by a cricket score ! Its time to give other teams our respect on here!

its all about getting over the line !

Your incorrect and I would expect to beat a Div 3 or Div 4 team. I know it is irrelevant but if memory serves me correctly came from 8 or 9 points down against Galway last year to draw the match.

As much as I would like to disagree. You make good points.

I would say they talking about championship games. When prior to this year did we win a second 35? Was it Wicklow in navan? Or Louth in Parnell last year. We were 7/8 up against Derry and got destroyed. Second 35 collapses had become a norm. Unfortunately

Replying To royaldunne:  "Well it seems to be a Connaught thing, from throw in Sligo went defensive, 15 in their own half so what was any team to do? Even most ulster sides have changed just doesn't seem to have caught on in west of shannon."
Admit it rd ye haven't the players ros even missing 15 lads beat Sligo by 9/10 points.
