Mickey Burke definitely back in with the hurlers. First I've heard of Douglas though he would also be an addition.

No point in mickey burke training with them if he cant play any game that clashes with the football. Bigballer30 (Meath) - Posts: 16 - 04/03/2017 16:18:20 1963526 Link 0 |
Who says that football must be first choice? I don't know of any rule in either the Official Guide or the Meath Bye-laws that a player must play football if there is a clash.

Any word on when Roscommon match will be refixed? RoyalBadger (Meath) - Posts: 571 - 06/03/2017 16:53:58 1964699 Link 0 |
Meath play Mayo and Wicklow on the 12th and 26th of March, with the final on the 1st/2nd of April. The Roscommon refixture can only be on St. Patrick's weekend judging from that. CastleBravo (Meath) - Posts: 1643 - 07/03/2017 14:36:05 1965038 Link 7 |
I here its Sunday the 19th of March, I am just after looking at the fixtures and Meath play Mayo on the 12th, Roscommon now on the 19th and Wicklow on the 26th with Final to be played on Sunday the 1st April. If Meath reach the final that would mean four matched in four weeks on the trot. Hard going on any squad. What you think is the squad strong enough to sustain such a tough schedule gardentree (Meath) - Posts: 194 - 07/03/2017 15:14:50 1965067 Link 0 |

he has played hurling in the past so he has a point in training with the hurlers if he feels like it and the hurling management are happy with it. All I am saying is that as an amateur sport the choice rests with the player himself.

Mickey Burke didn't make any appearance against Down in the football and only got a couple of mins against Galway - if he's not getting game time in the football, he may prioritise the hurling. Belt (Meath) - Posts: 253 - 08/03/2017 13:51:03 1965426 Link 0 |

Mayo beat meath last year by five points in Trim This wont be easy gardentree (Meath) - Posts: 194 - 10/03/2017 14:08:47 1965987 Link 0 |
Unless the boys go on the rip in Castlebar on Saturday and even so Meath will win pulling up. Same with Roscommon game now in Ashbourne a 20 point win at least. Two B teams will play in last Round as the Final will be Meath v Wicklow
