What teams are looking strong to win their Divisions lads ? it looks like Dunboyne are rampant along with Ratoath in Div 1 according to results. Div 2 looks more difficult to predict maybe wolfe tones . Div 3 could be Oldcastle or Kilbride. Div 4 Maybe St Vins/Curragha with Moynalty/Ross Close . Div 5 Dunderry . What do you think ?

In Divison 1 I still wouldn't write off Na Fianna through the back door. Wouldn't know much about the other divisions

Absolutely I forgot about na Fianna who will go close but just might not have the numbers at the right age to win . I heard they lost a good few and looking at the results ratoath have already beaten them . In Div 1 it will Dunboyne I think

Dunboyne are massive favourites for Division 1 - Plenty of lads on the Meath Minor squad and the under 17s county squad. They also have a huge panel. Ratoath, Na Fianna and Dunshaughlin are probably next but a fair bit behind Dunboyne. Na Fianna have plenty of County Minors too so probably next in line.

yeah Dunboyne & Ratoath seem to the strongest and will be favourites but both these teams would be very wary of a very talented Na Fianna side who won under 17 last year. Not sure re Dunshaughlin . Simonstown or Senchalstown as they will all be hard beaten .

And then there were four

Dunboyne v Na Fianna
Ratoath v Senchelstown

What do people think - I think the winner will come from the Dunboyne Na Fianna game!

Dunboyne are favourites by a good bit with Ratoath second favourites. Na Fianna and Senchalstown 3Rd and 4th. So I imagine that is the way it should end with a Dunboyne /Ratoath Final but I think this Na Fianna team are unpredictable and capable of winning it

With all due respect to Sencheltown, I think it's a three horse race. Ratoath should win their semi, while the second semi should be a good tight game.
It's interesting that Dunboyne are being made favourites, as they have a tough semi against last years u17 champion Na Fianna who seem to be hitting form at the right time.
I feel it will be a repeat of last years u17 final. Ratoath v Na Fianna.

The sangwedges and cocktail sausages are already booked in mulvanys for the celebration when dunboyne win
Mick McCauley playing music
Only thing they are thinking about is if they should wait and celebrate the double when they win the U17 special championship as well

Absolutely I have seen all 4 Semi finalists this year. Dunboyne look really good and seem to play 2 sweepers sometimes and will make it difficult to score against. They have great scoring power also with strong forwards. Ratoath are similar to Dunboyne with more free scoring forwards but less physicality. Looking at Seneschastown they have some very fast smaller players and if they get it right would give Ratoath a fright.. I was at the Dunshaughlin game v Senchalstown and yellow Furze look a real threat and could be the surprise. Na Fianna are also dark horses and could be dangerous I saw them v O Mahoneys and I thought on that night all of there six forwards playing in 1st half were very dangerous but then changes were made and they fell apart. . So for me Dunboyne are favourites and should win

Yep - Ratoath shouldn't take Senshelstown lightly - that would be a big mistake! Na Fianna won the under 17 league last year and lost in the Minor Final last year with many of their 17s playing - they should certainly put it up to Dunboyne! Should be a good night in Dunganny tomorrow!

According to Meath website
Ratoath won handy as expected and Na fianna beat Dunboyne by a point.
I'll let you know who will win the final in time to get the money on !!!!!

Oops
What happened dunboyne ??
Na Fianna have a good team and full of big names should handle Ratoath with ease in final

Last night I attended the Minor football semis c'ship in the Centre of Excellance in Dunganny, I watched the game between Na Fianna and Dunboyne, an great game of football between 2 very even teams, well worth 5 euros entry fee. The only downside was the state of the public loos, especially the male one. They were a pure disgrace.

I starred to watch the Ratoath game for 1st 15 mins but it was way to one sided as Ratoath way too big and physical for Senchalstown . No 11 Aherne is what makes Ratoath tick along with very good and big midfielders . The game between Na Fianna and Dunboyne much more exciting and great game between two great sides. It looked like Dunboyne were going to win midway through second half as leading by 4 points with strong wind but Na Fianna have a never say die attitude with all their players playing for each other. It was a long half with 8 or 9 mins extra time . No player stands out for me in this Na Fianna team but their spirit drive and determination will be hard beaten . Ratoath should be favourites but talking to a Na Fianna man who said that they have 2 very strong lads to come into panel yet I have to go for them but it should be close

If you've been keeping an eye on the underage for the last number of years , Na Fianna and Dunboyne have come up against each other regularly with just a hares breath between them always . Never get tooo cock sure of yourself when they meet . And if you recall Ratoath beat Dunboyne last year in Senechalstown , So it's not all with NscFianna just yet .
