As others have mentioned, the 2016 Meath jersey was a class design! Jinxy (Meath) - Posts: 29 - 24/01/2017 23:52:39 1948595 Link 0 |
Meath GAA posted an some images of the new jersey last night on their Twitter & FB pages. It doesn't look like it'll be radically different, though the numbers will be in the new font which has been used by a lot of counties in recent years. Looks like the back of it where 'An Mhí' is will have a bit of a pattern similar to the chest. All will be revealed on Monday...

Cameroon's shirts are usually an acquired taste and the back of that one is something else. Antrim like to look more like Meath on their travels. The new Meath shirt looks a similar enough shade of green to 2016. GlasagusOr (Meath) - Posts: 1348 - 25/01/2017 12:56:09 1948678 Link 0 |
I think its a pity we aren't going down the Masita route given that they are based in Meath and provide employment in the county. Crinigan (Meath) - Posts: 1316 - 26/01/2017 13:26:48 1948938 Link 6 |
Appreciate where your coming from but being honest I think O'Neills have the best quality and appearance. Designs are varying more now, look at the new Sligo kit which is very appealing as is the Cavan one and the present Donegal kit was a new departure also.

Well O'Neils have been proven and tested I suppose and as you say this year seem to have more variety to their kits. Still Masita have some decent designs, see Dunboyne's new kit for example. Seems a lot of north Meath teams using Masita now - must be easier to wash the blood out ;) Crinigan (Meath) - Posts: 1316 - 26/01/2017 16:07:10 1948985 Link 5 |
Well what's the verdict folks. Jinxie (Meath) - Posts: 6342 - 30/01/2017 19:54:37 1950307 Link 0 |
And the lighter band across the chest looks to have been dropped aswell and the collar is now all green. It's nice tho. Jinxie (Meath) - Posts: 6342 - 30/01/2017 20:00:33 1950312 Link 1 |
Don't think it's much of a difference bar the sponsor. Glad I got last year's for £20 in the sale! GlasgowRoyal (Meath) - Posts: 293 - 30/01/2017 21:12:44 1950347 Link 0 |
I really like the New Jersey, will more than likely purchase one. Would like to see the back - does it still have the 7 stars I wonder? Slightly deeper green too which I like. Krankyfred (Meath) - Posts: 19 - 31/01/2017 00:44:36 1950410 Link 0 |
A nice clean design. Royal_Gunner (Meath) - Posts: 534 - 31/01/2017 08:45:01 1950430 Link 0 |
7 stars on the collar. O'Neills website has it up so you can look there.

Looks great, somewhat understated and even classy. Has all the good qualities of the 2016 jersey with a few tweaks here and there. Well done to all involved. GlasagusOr (Meath) - Posts: 1348 - 31/01/2017 14:55:03 1950582 Link 0 |
