Meath... A hurling county?

Cant believe there was ever 20 senior hurling teams in Meath ....

There was never really that number of senior clubs. It was pretty much the same format back then with two groups of 6. It may have even been 5 in one group. 6 in the other. Think they may have introduced a senior b championship around then for a short time which was basically the intermediate championship which may have brought the number up to 20.

i like hurling and want to see it supported better than in the past but we are still a football county imho.

Well at least you'll always have a few classic episodes of 'Reeling in the Years' to look back on this summer while everyone else is up in Croke Park watching their counties compete....
