Meath Hurlers Open Session

(Oldest Posts First)

Was in Dunganny this evening at the open training session , brought my two sons , what a great evening , all of the players were brilliant with every child, playing hurling with them, Doing drills with them, signing autographs, and taking time to answer every question that was asked of them. What a great idea , what a act of genourosity by the management and players, my two lads won't sleep tonight they are that exited about meeting the lads and looking forward to Saturday. Their was a huge crowd out in Dunganny tonight , I am so proud to be a Meath GAA man tonight, this is what makes the GAA so great

Great idea and a very enjoyable evening, fair play to the CB and whoever came up with this idea but you've done more for hurling in this county in the last few months than you've done in the last few years. The footballers might be easily recognisable but many of us would struggle to pick out the hurlers on the street as we normally only see them in their helmets, this was a great opportunity for the kids to meet them face to face and to get the opportunity to puc round with them, we need to push on from this. I've often wondered why we don't do like they do in other counties and encourage the kids to bring their Hurleys for a half time puc around during hurling matches.
Looking forward to the lads doing it all again tomorrow, best of luck to the lads tomorrow, you've done us proud.
