Well given that it the second most important competition in club football within the county it should
1) Be played on a weekend
2) Be played at a proper venue for matches, not necessarily PT

I think given thst the club's involved have played 13 /14 games to get there they deserve better than that

I didn't want to start a new thread on this but has anybody heard when the B League Division 2 final will be played? I think apart from next week's A League Div 1 game this is the only league final not played yet.

It's almost 2 months since Summerhill quaified for it by winning a play off and they play Na Fianna.

You are correct with score of 3-12 to 1-14. It is not a shock to me. What does shock me is the rubbish being posted by some poster telling us about the strength of the intermediate and weakness of or senior teams - guys who demonstrate how little they know about the standard of our senior football-guys who never participated in such competitions. All this leads me to the opinion that the standard of intermediate football within Leinster and beyond is low. The best of luck to the Cilles in the rest of the competition

Its not that I think cilles are great team but more the fact Blackhall waiting for 2 or more months to play taught they be rusty but like 2 years ago when they caught Ballinlough in long grass in A league div 2 final they did it again. You have to hand it to Blackhall they are great battlers

This may have worked in Blackhalls favour. They had one focus,Cillies have just won the leinster.

Cilles got a reality check. A mix of tiredness/over confidence/effects of celebrating I think caught up with them last night. And in fairness I suppose they can't really be blamed for all of the above. Fair dues to Blackhall, couldn't have been easy waiting for this fixture. They were more hungrier and sharper than their opponents.

Kepak10- Valid point but I think that the Cilles would be better off competing in the senior league and it would help with the development of their younger players.

Absolutely agree. I've no doubt division 1 football stood to Cilles (eventhough they got some clippings) and contributed majorly to their success this year. Div 2 will not be easy to get back out of.

4 left in battle for Mooney Cup with OMahonys v Simonstown in last round looking spicy. Summerhill and Tones should get other 2 spots
Big games at bottom Seneschalstown look gone while any of Moynalvey, Rathkenny, Dunshaughlin Kells or Blackhall watching the trap door.

Skryne should top Div 2 for a Final v Ratoath with Cills getting playoff spot

Big win for Ratoath last night, 2-23 to 1-11 away to St Michaels to put them top of Division 2 with a game to go

Had the county players been available for most of the league, they'd have been promoted already. Either way, should beat Syddan to wrap up the top spot.
