Feis Cup

(Oldest Posts First)

Not much about the Feis Cup, sad to see a once great competition treated so badly.

Anyway, will the Feis Cup specialists win tomorrow or will Summerhill have recovered from their 3rd final loss in a row? I'd probably pick Kells just about but should be a good game.

I think the true supporter would prefer it to be called Gaeil Colmcille.

Very entertaining feis cup final in Ashbourne wit summerhill finishing out strongest glad they won it after last weekend as their captain said not the one they really wanted but at least have something for their efforts this year

Yeah good game, Summerhill made very hard work of beating 14 men, Kells seemed to get better when they had a man sent off. Summerhill have a good team, hopefully they can come back next year and claim the Keegan.

Will the Kells manager stay on? Not sure what more can he achieve with them and it's not like they have a lot of young players coming through. How long is he there?

No, Lar Wall won't be wearing the bainisteoir bib on the sideline with the Kells side next year.

Think it was a stray elbow in the 1st half

It was a lot to expect of amateur players with jobs and college to play this one week after losing county final.
Well done to Summerhill in pulling it off.

Agree - although probably a good tonic for them. I heard on one of the podcasts this week that Kells hadn't trained since they were beaten in the semi final of Senior so probably not easy for them either!

I think the whole Feis cup needs to be looked at - surely it could be wrapped up earlier!
