Well Done To Meath U16

(Oldest Posts First)

Well done to the panel and management of the U16 team who beat Dublin last night in the Gerry Reilly cup final in Oldcastle. Final score Meath 2-11 Dublin 2-10.

Some very talented players on both teams, both midfielders for Meath were impressive, but there were decent performances throughout. Further indication that the future is bright for the boys in green. Again well done to all involved.

Didn't get to see any of the game but really encouraging to see Eoghan Frayne with 2 45's at under 16 level especially with our free taking issues at senior. Always great to beat Dublin too. Only thing is we won this last year and it translated to nothing at minor. Hopefully that's just a blip. It would be brilliant to have another under 17 team like the 2017 and 2018 teams

Great result. Well done. Hopefully we can bring this group on to challenge for a leinster minor title. Very impressed with Frayne.

That's the key to keep teams together and develop. Its great these victories at underage level, But its important to keep squads together and develop into good minor and U20 and beyond. I wasn't at the game but looking at the presentation of the cup and some photographs the Dublin team look physically a lot stronger. Or is that just me ?
