Just wondering does anyone else think it's very harsh that Ratoath have been fixed to play the Junior C football final at 11.30am the morning after they are also due to play the Junior A hurling final, happened last weekend aswell with the junior D semifinal fixed for the night before the Junior A semi finals. Not a huge crossover between the teams but still not very fair on lads who are playing both. Particularly when it comes to 2 finals 1 day after another (although admittedly no fixture out yet for the hurling final, but that has been the weekend down on the planner for months for the hurling finals) Whoknows79 (Meath) - Posts: 8 - 25/09/2018 15:55:33 2143761 Link

Both timing and venues are wrong. As regards the timing of both finals, if there is any crossover of players the games should not be played on successive days. In both cases as there are not the club's first teams Leinster Club Championship is not an issue so why compromise player welfare for the sake of a few days. As regards the venues, no respect being shown to the finals especially the Dunsany game as there is not even a scoreboard there. All three were played in PT. A drawn replay was played at Kilbride. I agree it should be given the respect and PT be used for all adult finals regardless of grade. On a side note, I believe Dunboyne and Vincents players were out having a drink together in a well known Sunday night establishment. Replying To Toney: "Who do they play in Leinster?" Away to the Offaly Intermediate champions (St. Brigid's or Ferbane). Fair play to the second team on their Junior C win.
