With The Leagues nearly complete . in Division 2 it looks like Syddan And Oldcastle going up with 3rd place playoff battle between Rathkenny, Seneschalstown, Duleek B and Bracks and seems very tight on Relegation between Trim , Blackhall and Castletown .

In Division 1 it looks like a straight shoot out between Kells & Skryne . The Relegation is between St.Pats , Na Fianna , Cilles , Ratoath & Moynalvey

In Division 2 I think that Syddan will be winners with Blackhall & Castletown going down
In Division 1 I think Skryne will win with St. Pats & Na Fianna going down

What do people think ?

Remember in div 1 the 2nd and third placed teams play off for a place in final and third from bottom plays 3rd ftom top of div 2. Whilst Syddan will be delighted to have promotion to the top tier, most teams on the top tier have little interest in the league anymore. No bite to games, too many games with nothing at stake

Thanks for that

If you were to pick teams to go up and down from both Divisions who would you go for at the moment ?

Div 1 will be won by Kells I would say, not that they will really be to bothered as its a means of getting games before championship and thats it really.

Relegation will be St. Pats and Na Fianna, with Moynalvey or Cilles in the relegation playoff (either one will win against the 3rd place in Div 2), Ratoath with all county players back won't be involved in it and will beat Na fianna in the next round guaranteeing them safety I would imagine.

Agreed and there in lies the problem. Ratoath with and without county players is chalk and cheese. Skryne and kells have full panel all year and the league reflects that.

Ratoath should survive comfortably now, Na Fianna's goose could be cooked after the next game which I see is away to Dunshaughlin before they play Ratoath, same could be said for St Pats although O'Mahony's got a fair thumping last weekend, Pats could get a result. Great to see Syddan motoring up to Division 1, well done to all there

Yes agreed Ratoath will survive easy enough I would imagine . Great to see Syddan in top tier. Not sure about Na Fianna now as are a different prospect with all their players returning ( hard to call )

Think St Pats will go down with Na Fianna or else Moynalvey. Moynalvey could get out of the spot they are in with another win whilst St Colmcilles if they get their u20's back should beat Dunshaughlin at home putting them on 8 points. cant see Pats getting any more points. If Na Fianna dont beat Dunshaughlin, they wont beat Ratoath in next Round as they need the points to stay up too and will probably go down.

Na Fianna with a huge win over Ratoath last night gives them survival chances with Ratoath right back in the relegation mix and needing a win from their lady game v Kells

The relegation battles in all divisions look very interesting, 4 and 5 teams not safe in every division, will be interesting to see how it pans out,

Ratoath have Gael Cholmcille next - Gael Cholmchille have already qualified for the playoffs. St Colmcilles have Dunboyne who are fighting for a playoff spot! Moynalvey have O'Mahonys who have nothing to play for! Might make a difference in the end!! Ratoath will certainly need to be better next time out than they were against Na Fianna!

Ratoath still not safe, nobody has a right to assume that Ratoath can win a game before it is played especially against a team like Na Fianna who are in Div 1 for a few years now and have a few players returning from long term injuries, sort of balances the Ratoath County men returning.

Leagues coming to an end this weekend which teams do youse fancy for titles in divisions 2,3and 4.

Division 2
Syddan v Oldcastle
Really interesting game here syddan have been flying all year year and have just took foot of the gas in last week or so and Oldcastle have been hard to beat over the last 8 league games. Going just with syddan as think big open pitch will suit there game more than Oldcastle but could go either way with no more than 1 or 2 points in the difference.

Division 3
Bective v meath hill
Fancy Bective in this one but expect a tight game just think Bective have more quality and have shown that throughout the league.

Division 4:
Ballivor v Moynalty
Going with Ballivor to win by around 5 as they will just have to much quality all over the pitch for Moynalty. Have to say very early start for a final 11:00 o clock on a Sunday morning doesn't make much sense

You look at the league playoffs and see that the higher division sides moynalvey and St Vincents win easy and ask have they a function. Then the result shows junior side carnaross win their playoff by hammering blackhall to become the only junior team in division 2.
I would will that be the case come October as they now look odds on for the junior championship
Blackhall strangely have suffered consecutive relegations through the playoffs and look to be also odds on candidates for championship relegation also
