I just watched the documentary tonight and I enjoyed it very much. Geraghty was some player and what a warrior he was. He was one of them players that you just love to hate. He was a player for big occasions. He broke my Wee County heart a few times more notable in 2002 with his stoppage time goal. He would probably be my favourite Meath player of all time. He won basically everything in the game. He is now manager of the Glen Emmets GAA club in Tullyallen which is just outside of Drogheda. They are just across the Boyne from the St Mary's club in Donore and ironically both team's are the same colours of green and red. The Glens won the Louth Junior Championship last year. Meath Hill knocked them out last year in the quarter-finals of the Leinster Championship. The Glens are in the Louth Inter Championship group with the Oliver Plunkett's and Cooley Kickhams. The Plunkett's are their neighbours and they actually lost to the Drogheda side in the 2014 Louth Junior final. Cooley were relegated last year and for the first time since 1964 are not playing Senior Championship football. They are one of the king pins of Louth football. Ollie I think now that he has retired and people can look at him in a more neutral view, his brilliance will be more appreciated

I remember going to a county final in early 1990's. Skryne Seneschalstown. Geraghty was on Liam Hayes who obviously was a top Meath player in his day. He hardly gave Hayes a touch of the ball. I remember coming across him outside of football. He was in visiting an old neighbour who was in hospital in Dublin in a bed next to my father. Thought that myself. The one from the end line against the undesirables in 2005 should definitely have been there.

He once as a young player stopped and talked to my elderly father for two hours outside my sisters house , as she lived quite close to his then girlfriend, his gentleman approach as a young lad to a man in his 80s who was going back to 49 etc was something I have always held to him. A absolute gent through and through.

That sounds about right, when I was talking about him visiting his elderly neighbour in the Mater hospital when his neighbour was brought out of the ward by nurses he stayed on talking to my father about Meath football for a good while. I remember coming across him in Buck Mulligans after Dublin beat us in '95 and he was very friendly. If you were picking a Meath best ever lineup would you play him as a half back, half forward or as a full forward ?

Oh that's a good question, I'd play him as a half forward, he then could track back or go forward. But tbh any position he would a slot into. And I really don't think you could say that about many Meath players of the past. I.e. They'd have their best position and that's it. But graham was so versatile

I thought he was great as a attacking half back before he was moved forward in 1996. I think he could have made a great centre back had Sean ever moved him there.
