Well done girls. Great heart, desire and skill. Well done management. A special word for the support who made the long journey to Limerick. Absolutely brilliant.

Superb stuff and further proof of the development of the small ball game in the county, to beat an established set up like Cork in an All Ireland Final is no mean feat and these girls and the management deserve all our praise and support. Well done everyone

Excellent group of players, they don't do panic and obviously stuck to the game plan. Also they are very fit and able to go as hard at the finish as at the start of the game.
Some progress made in the last 10 years with this team and it is great to see the gradual introduction of new blood while at the same time keeping a solid core of experience mainly up the centre.
This does not surprise me in the least from John Davis as he was bringing the county hurling along very nicely up to 1996 when people who should have known better started a little campaign 'to get to the next level' and it ended with John Davis walking while within the space of a few years hurling went backwards to the extent of shipping a 30+ point hammering in the Leinster Championship and this trend was only reversed when Michael Duignan took over for a short period before being forced out by our County Board, so let's hope that there is no unwise moves made now or in the next few years and the John is left in place for as long as he wants to continue.
