Admission prices disgrace

(Oldest Posts First)

Went to Rathkenny tonight to watch Vincent's v K-Wood , 10 euro in to watch Junior match . Disgrace , no programme, not even a score board . Are meath county board trying to encourage genuine football supporters to stay at home . Everyone on the bank complaining about the price and saying it will be last game they will be at this year if they knew it was 10 euro in , they wouldn't be at it

hmm a few grounds must be chancing their arm. people should refuse to pay it and say they paid 5 euro last week elsewhere..

€10 in to a senior match, €10 into a Junior match and €10 into a double header of Junior and Junior C. How in gods name can it be the same into all 3 ? Athboy charging €8 for Students and OAP while the gate Voucher for match at our club was €5 for these. The attendance at club matches will strictly be those clubs involved only as with this greed the neutral will not attend. I hope some of the delegates will have the guts to take this issue up at next meeting

Yeah it really is going to stop neutrals going to matches. For example I pay €10 to see my senior side playing then another €10 to see our juniors, I wont be going a neutral game unless I was expecting it to be a good match.

Was attendances up or down last year after the price increase does anyone know?

€10 in to all senior, Inter and Junior A games is a bit steep.
It's €5 for Students / OAPs and under 16 get in free.
Clubs charging €8 for these should be fined.

Junior B and below is €5 but this should be the price for all grades in the group stages.
Bigger attendances and better atmospheres.

I was at a senior game in Duleek over the weekend and I felt it was a disgrace how these steep charges resulted in terrible value for money. Unpleasant welcome, the state of the dressing rooms, the terrible sloping pitch, limited parking for large crowds and then not even a scoreboard or match program for people who pay their hard earned money attending. I honestly have no idea why the County Board continue to fix big Senior and Intermediate ties here when the club clearly do not deserve it.

Paying €10 into a game and not even a working scoreboard, that's shocking. One thing that really annoys me is no scoreboard, alright for some league games but you would think in championship one of the first requirements for a ground would be a working scoreboard.

Paying a tenner into hurling games with teams getting beat by 30/40 points don't think you see me going again till semi finals

My club has its first double header involving first and second team in 4 years this weekend. They have played in different days or same day, different venue every time since then.

The lack of no team lists is a joke.
They should be sent to the venue club for them to print and hand out at the gate.

A team can give a bogus lineup if they want, for fear of leaking a team line-up if they wish. But people couldn't care less once the numbers matched and you could identify who's playing where.

Can't believe this hasn't been sorted in this day and age. Even just for SFC, IFC & JFC matches.

I saw one of the Chronicle lads bemoaning the fact that the team list the media got for one of the SHC games last week was all wrong. 8 was 9, 9 was 8, 13 was 15, 15 was 13 etc. When clubs can't even be bothered to get that right for media then what chance have you got for match programmes.

Went to Cavan senior Championship game in Kingscourt at the weekend.
€10 to enter with match programme provided. There was just one change to programme. Subs used were as per programme. not very difficult to do.
