Six clubs have just received notice from county board after 4 o clock today that scheduled U 14 matches due to take place at 7 this evening are postponed due to no referees. I am involved with a few different age groups a d this is the 5th match that has been called off in past couple of months. It is no wonder the few young lads who are interested in sport are choosing Rugby or soccer when so often matches are pulled at last minute. Clubs are to blame too with one club not bothering to notify the home team that they were not travelling only a few weeks back. The so called Planner is little more than toilet paper

We have 113 referees available to us at Coiste na nÓg level. Every one of these was asked to do one of these games.


There are official GAA 16 games scheduled today in County Meath including those postponed.
