21 year wait ends for Meath Hill stalwart Boyle

October 09, 2017

Delight for veteran Emmet Boyle (yellow bib) as Meath Hill have just won the Meath JFC at Pairc Tailteann.

Perseverance paid off for Meath Hill's Emmet Boyle at Pairc Tailteann yesterday.

After years of dedication to the north Meath club's cause, the long-serving 47-year-old finally got his hands on a JFC medal.

21 years ago he was full-forward on the team that lost out to parish rivals Drumconrath but he donned the number 28 jersey for yesterday's 1-12 to 0-9 victory over Moylagh.

It was worth the wait as our picture shows how much the success meant to him and his team-mates!
