Bective 5-12, Castletown 0-16

Bective put in a strong team performance to ensure the two points against a weakened Castletown outfit at Pairc Tailteann on Sunday afternoon. 

Castletown opened the scoring with a point but Bective soon got off the mark with a sequence of points and were the more threatening for the rest of the first half.  Marty Mulhall found the net and this was shortly followed by more points and two goals from Sean Keating.  Bective went in at half time with 3-6 to Castletown's 0-7.

After the break Bective continued to dictate the pace of the game and went into a ten point lead. Castletown kept working the ball up the field but had to rely on points from distance to keep in touch.  Bective continued to press forward and added a goal from Cathal Mc Connell and a second from Marty Mulhall to finish this game off.
