Na Fianna 2-15 Gaeil Colmcille 3-09

Na Fianna picked up a good win in Grangegodden on Friday night with a stirring second half showing sealing the win.

The Kells side had the best possible start, netting two goals in the opening five minutes of the game. Na Fianna soon found their stride, carving open the Kells defence for three goal chances which were all saved. Jamie Queeney wreaked havoc in the full forward line helping himself to 1-03 in the first half and creating numerous chances. Barry Clancy also claimed a point as did Daniel Queeney (2) and Andy Glynn. Gaeil Colmcille netted again against the run of play with their direct running causing problems.  The teams were level at half 1-08 to 3-02.

Na Fianna edged the second half, getting the better of the physical exchanges and being a lot more economical in the forwards. Queeney netted another goal while Barry Clancy and Ethan Devine also chipped in with points to seal a good away win.
