A brilliant second half performance that yielded 1-15 and an outstanding display from Sean Quigley gave Dunboyne a comfortable Senior Hurling Championship Group A win over Ratoath played in ideal conditions at Dunshaughlin.

The opening half proved a very even affair with the winners holding a 1-12 to 0-10 interval lead. Inspired by county star Sean Quigley Dunboyne outscored their neighbours 1-15 to 0-3 in the second half. Quigley hit 15 points, 5 from frees and 2 65's, while Neil Hackett and Conor Gilmartin got in for the goals.
