U16 FL Div 3 Final: Second half heartbreak for Moynalty/Carnaross

Shane Yore keeps his eye on the ball for Moynalty Carnaross during the U16 Division 3 FL final against Dunderry in Dunganny

Moynalty/Carnaross 1-13, Dunderry 3-09

Moynalty/Carnaross took on Dunderry in this very exciting Meath Under 16 Division 3 FL final in sunny conditions at Dunganny. Before the game got under way there was a minutes silence for the late Aidan Gillic Carnaross.

This was a game of two half's Moynalty/Carnaross in the first and Dunderry in the second. 

Dunderry opened the scoring with a point but Moynalty/Carnaross replied through Darragh O' Reilly and Joseph Gilsenan. Both sides traded a brace of points until  Moynalty/Carnaross scored six points without reply, three from Shane Yore and one each from Bryan Mc Cormack, Cormac Yore and James Lynch to go in at the break 0-10 to 0-03 in front.

The team in Red and Yellow got a great start to the second half when Adam Reilly got in for the games first goal to open up a ten point gap. But the game turned on its head and from there on Dunderry dominated scoring 2-4 without reply to level matters. It was then the turn of Moynalty carnaross to hit a purple pact and fines scores from Shane Yore, James Lynch and Adam Reilly put them back in front. But Dunderry never gave up and finished the strongest adding another goal and two points leaving final score Moynalty/Carnaross 1-13, Dunderry 3-09.
