Great weekend for Kells and Meath handball

Meath captured two All Ireland handball titles last Saturday in Mullingar and Thurles.

The outstanding Brian Carroll and Tom Sheridan claimed the All Ireland Hardball Senior Doubles title when beating holders Dublin pair Eoin Kennedy and Carl Browne in Mullingar.

The Kells pair breezed through the opening game winning 21-2 and claimed the title with with a 21-15 win in the second game.

Sheridan and Carroll have also won the Doubles Hardball All-Ireland in 2014 and 2015. 

There was also All Ireland success for another Kells pair, Peter Reilly and Joe Cummins, when they claimed the Junior Doubles title beating Limerick's Denis Donegan and Shane Murphy in Thurles in three games 19-21, 21-6, 21-19.
