Dunsany got their quest for the Junior A Championship off to a winning start on Sunday in Carlanstown against St. Brigids.

In inclement weather conditions St. Brigids opened the scoring with a point from a free and only managed one point from play, the rest from frees in the first half with Dunsany coming at them strongly. 

A superb goal by Declan Smyth and with Pierre Fox on form scoring 4 points 2 from frees, Alan Kelly scoring 1 goal and 2 points, and Shane Brennan 1 goal Dunsany were on top at the break  3-7 to 0-7 pts. 

In the second half Dunsany kept up the pressure. Fine points from Pierre Fox, Alan Kelly, Cathal Murphy, Eoin Marsh, Kevin Keena and Shane Walsh.
