Moynalty/Carnaross played St Peter's Dunboyne in the opening round of the Under 16 Division 3 FL in Moynalty.

St Peter's Dunboyne opened the scoring with two points but the winners dominated the remainder of the half holding the visitors scoreless for the last 25 minutes. Moynalty/Carnaross scored 1-09 without reply with a goal and two points from Luke Gillic, points from Adam Reilly, Bryan Mc Cormack (2), Cormac Yore, Darragh O' Reilly (2) and Shane O' Reilly to go in at the break 10 points up.

The second half continued in the same vein as Moynalty/Carnaross continued to dominate. Dunboyne were outscored 3-6 to 0-5 in the second period.  James Lynch, Luke Gillic, and Cormac Yore got the winners goals to seal a comfortable win.
