Slane welcomed intermediate side Longwood to Toddy Harding Park on a sunny Saturday evening for this All County League Division 4 match.
The opening half proved a tight affair with both defenses doing well.
Slane managed just 2 scores in the opening half which came from the boot of Eoin Feeley and Alan Harding.

The second half saw both teams increased the tempo.
Slane pulled back the deficit with some fine scores coming from Eanna Mooney.
Longwood responded well and raced into a 3 point lead. The home team to their credit never gave up and were rewarded with a penalty which Eanna Mooney calmly dispatched. This put Slane a point up and further scores from Alan Harding and Gareth Kealy sealed the win for the Boynesiders.
Impressive for the winners were Steven Kells, Shane Harding, Rory Finnegan and Eanna Mooney.
