Kiltale 1-12 Na Fianna 0-8

Na Fianna commenced their all county hurling league Division 1 campaign when travelling to county champions Kiltale on Sunday morning. It was Kiltale who started strongly and registered 1-1 before Na Fianna got off the mark with a Jonathan McCloskey point. Na Fianna trailed at half time 1-6 to 0-5 but were to rue a number of wides when playing with aid of a strong breeze.  Cian Slattery, Barry Slevin, Jonathan McCloskey and Eoin Gorry when introduced as a blood sub for Ronan Byrne with the Na Fianna scores.

Kiltale took advantage of the wind in their backs for the second half and outscored Na Fianna by 0-6 to 0-3 in the second half, Barry Slevin accounting for Na Fianna's second half tally. It was an encouraging display for Na Fianna against a strong Kiltale selection and they were best served by Eoin Reilly, Evan Mullally, Niall Reilly, JonathanMcCloskey and Barry Slevin.
