Na Fianna started with a win in the new Under 19 competition with a good showing in Dunshaughlin on Thursday night.

Jack McNally set the tone with the opening point, a booming effort from forty yards. Kean Flynn, Ethan Devine, Shane Walsh and Ronan Byrne also hit points in this half but the concession of two goals saw the scores level at half time, 1-08 to 2-05.

Na Fianna took over in the second half with Cian Slattery pointing from the throw in, while goals from Jack McNally and Shane Walsh put paid to the resistance of a skilful Dunshaughlin side.

Na Fianna were helped by good performances from Connor Heffernan, Daniel Devine, Oran Smullen, Ethan Devine, Jack McNally, Shane Walsh and Kean Flynn while Luke Kelly made an excellent impact off the bench.
