Team news: Royals make four changes

Kiltale's James Kelly

Meath hurlers have made four changes from the side that pushed Offaly all the way in their Walsh Cup opener as they prepare to face Kildare at Pairc Tailteann on Sunday (2pm).

The Meath management have opted for just the four changes as they still plan without the likes of newly appointed captain Damien Healy, Sean Heavey, Stephen Clynch and Gavin McGowan.

Tipperary native Ronan Sherlock drops to the bench as Shane Whitty moves to the full back spot and his place in the half back line is taken by Shane Brennan.

At midfield, Joey Keena comes into the side in place of Padraig Kelly, while club mates Cathal McCabe and James Kelly replace Garry Kelly and Niall Weir in the half forward line.

James Toher moves to corner forward and Sean Quigley switches out to the wing as the Royals prepare to meet the Lilywhites for the first time since last year's Christy Ring Cup semi-final.
