Kilskyre National Schools turned in a great display to claim their first ever Allianz Meath Cumann Na mBunscol Division 3 hurling title at the expense of Killyon at Lomans Park Trim.

From the word go the winners were on top. The brilliant Tom Shine had four excellent points on the scoreboard after five minutes. His twin brother Daire added two more before Jack Connell got in for the game's opening goal. Malachy Fisher netted for Killyon to keep them in the game as Kilskyre went in at the break 1-8 to 1-0 in front.
There was no let up in the Kilskyre (sponsored by Mac-Way Contracting New York) onslaught in the second half. The Shine's added to their tally early on. Kit Og Lynch put the result beyond doubt with two fine goals. Jack Connell got in for his second major and the impressive Ronan Cunning closed out the game with a brace of points.
After the game Kilskyre NS captain Daire Shine was presented with the Division 3 hurling cup.
