IHC Kilskyre/Moylagh Vs. Rathmolyon

Kilskyre/Moylagh 4-11 Rathmolyon 1-9

Following an impressive win by Na Fianna over Kiltale in Trim, Kilskyre/Moylagh needed a victory to keep the battle open for top spot in the group down to the last round next weekend.

Kilskyre/Moylagh got the win but it was hard work and but for a couple of opportunistic goals in the first half this match could have being a lot closer.

Rathmolyon got off to a strong start and opening the scoring with a well taken free, they dominated the puck-outs for most of the first half and with a lot of frees conceded by Kilskyre/Moylagh in that area it kept Rathmolyon ticking over with points from frees.

Kilskyre/Moylagh then got the break they needed with a well placed opportunistic shot from James O'Higgins which went into the back of the net. Well taken goals from Jack Tunney and Paddy Gilsenan and run of points from Paddy Gilsenan, Joe Melia, Paddy Rahal and Derek Muldoon gave Kilskyre/Moylagh the cushion they needed going into the break.

Rathmolyon came out strong again at the start of the second half but then Kilskyre/Moylagh got going again with points from Seanie Geraghty, Peadar Byrne, Derek Muldoon and Paddy Gilsenan before Tomas Shine sealed the victory with a goal five minutes before time.
