Football championship fixtures postponed due to U21 hurling final

The round of football championship games scheduled for the weekending 11 September have been postponed and will now take place two weeks later.

Meath CCC released a statement this morning:

"Following the progression of Meath U21 Hurlers to the All Ireland B Final in Thurles on 10th September 2016, please note that following a meeting of C.C.C. An Mhi,  the following changes will be made to the Fixtures Plan. 

"On the Weekending 11th September 2016 the proposed round of Football Championship will now take place on Weekending 25th September 2016, this will include Round 5 of the SFC and all games in all other Football Championships including Relegation games. 

"In its place on Weekending 11th September 2016 the last Round of the A & B  Football Leagues will now be played.

"All Fixtures presently scheduled will remain as fixed. A revised Fixture Plan will be issued over the next few Days."
