Slane 8-08   Kilbride 5-03

Kilbride arrived with only 11 players. Which meant a reduced size pitch and plenty of substitutions for us, and we had no keeper so Roisin went in net.
The visitors started brightly and scored the opening goal, we responded with a point from Aoife. Kilbride netted 2 more goals and a point which eventually spurred Slane into action. Aisling, Aoife & Holly had their hands full with some very strong players on the opposition. Then came a superb goal from the tightest angle by Noirin, definite runner for score of the season. The girls ended the half shell shocked at the fact they were not in control of the game and behind.

Half Time Slane 2-3 Kilbride  4-2

A strong team talk to boost the girls belief in their ability and on they went. Bronagh went in goal for 2nd half. A point from Kerrie and a goal from Holly in the first minute set the tone. Aisling Martyn had a torrid time marking no. 14, paid off.
The constant attack on goal didn't bear fruit again until the 7th minute, when Kerrie scored 2 goals & 1 point in succession following great deliveries from Maia, Holly and Eve. The undeniable quality that this squad possess rose to the top, more goals and points came and we won. 6 wins from 6 very proud of every player tonight for digging deep and performing as they know they can.
