On Bank Holiday Monday, Dunboyne was the location for an epic encounter between Dunsany and St. Pats in the 2015 Division Four Final.

In all there were twenty goals scored between the sides, with penalties, missed chances, and last gasp scores the order of the day. Add into that all four seasons and this game is certainly one that will be remembered in years to come.

The sides finished level in normal time, Dunsany 7-07, St. Pats 8-04.

During extra time, there was still no separating the sides with Nadine Doyle grabbing a last gasp goal for Dunsany deep into injury time of extra time to ensure the sides would have to meet again.

Emma White was the stand out performer for St. Pats who despite wearing the no.9 jersey hit 6-03, truly excelling in her position as captain. However, Dunsany too had their own stars, Megan Thynne, fresh from her Player of the Match performance against Galway in the Camogie League Final on Saturday, hit 3-06 and set up countless other scores.

Quite remarkably the game ended level after extra time, Dunsany 9-12, St. Pats 11-06 with a replay to be fixed.
