U21 clash switched to Parnell Park

February 10, 2016

The floodlights lie idle at Pairc Tailteann

Due to the floodlights being out of action in Pairc Tailteann, the Royals' Leinster U-21 FC quarter-final fixture v Dublin has been moved to Parnell Park.

The game will be played at the Donnycarney venue on March 2nd (7.30pm).

The floodlights in Navan were taken down last year due to problems with the support foundations and work on reinstating the lights has been put on hold until Croke Park and the Leinster Council announce their plans for the grounds to be upgraded in the province.

Meath hope that the Navan venue will be named as the stadium for development in north Leinster and have decided against investing a six figure sum to restore the floodlights in the meantime.
