Floodlights on hold as Pairc Tailteann awaits green light for upgrade

February 09, 2016

Put away for another day

Meath Infrastructure Committee chairman Noel Dempsey told Monday night's County Board meeting in Dunganny that an upcoming feasibility study on the development of Pairc Tailteann will cost around €70,000.

Dempsey said that the committee is awaiting from Croke Park and the Leinster Council regarding the announcement of grounds to be upgraded in the province and hope that the Navan venue will be named as the stadium for development in north Leinster.

Meath may not embark on any plans until such an announcement is made public with the replacing of the existing stand and other improvements on the agenda.

Meanwhile it has been decided to suspend the replacement of  the floodlights at Pairc Tailteann for another while.

Oliver Cudden has been co-opted as an extra member of the Infrastructure Committee which includes former GAA Director General Liam Mulvihill.
