Dunderry got off to a great start in this M.H.C Div 2 Rd 1 fixture on Wed night the home side were 0-5 to 0-0 inside 6 minutes with 0-3 from Alex Walsh and 0-2 from Tomas Conroy. But the visitors responded with 2 quick goals then Danny Morris scored a superb long range point and Walsh added 1-2 by the 16th minute. Aron Feeney and Mickey Dowdall switched positions this provided more stability in the half back and back lines. In the 23rd minute Dowdall won a high ball from the visitors keeper burst through 2 challenges and fed Walsh with a superb pass which he calmly dispatched into the net. Jamie Leavy was performing well in midfield alongside Conroy and in the 26th minute scored a well taken point, Walsh finished off the half with another well taken goal to leave half time score 2-12 to 3-4 to the home side.
2nd half continued with Walsh opening the scoring with 2 free's , Eoghan Daly came into his own in the 38th minute when good work from Feeney and Leavy set up Daly who took on his marker and from 20 yards fired an unstoppable shot into the top right hand corner of the net. This was followed by the score of the game from Peter Casey, Dowdall fed a 50 yard pass across the pitch to Casey who out wide on the river side touchline fired a shot over his shoulder . Dowdall was moved into a sweeper role and this proved very effective mopping up anything passing the half back line. Walsh continued the scoring and Daley added 1-1 in the 59th minute Walsh scored a point to leave the final score 5-18 to 3-9.
