Kildalkey's Podge Geoghegan

Kildalkey 1-24 Dunderry 1-8

Dunderry were  Kildalkey's opponents in the SHC on Saturday evening and Kildalkey pulled away to win by 16 points in the end but Dunderry put up a brave performance for 40 minutes and played some tough hurling.

Paddy Coneely raced in on the left hand side and scored a brilliant goal for Kildalkey in the first 5 minutes before retiring injured soon after. Kildalkey continued on without their free taker and talisman and Mark Healy went on to the frees after that

Sean Heavey went on to score 5 points from play and Padraig Keogh got 3 along with Ducksy Doran.

At halftime Kildalkey led by 1-8 to 0-4 although the exchanges were hard and Dunderry gave as good as they got for as long as they could Kildalkey always seemed to find their scores more easily with their 6 backs in fine form and David Harmon making a smart save near the end.

Podger Geoeghan continues to play well in the midfield area and Patrick Potterton had his best game for Kildakey to date up front Heavey Ducksy and Keogh and Mark Healy hit some super scores as Kildalkey play Rathmolyon in their final group game in 2 weeks time
