Kilmainham picked up two points against St.Mary's on Sunday morning in this All County Division 3 League game played in Kilmainham in lovely sunny conditions.

In an all round team performance Kilmainham landed a point in the opening minute from Johnny Quinlan followed by a Freddie Newman point with Mark Newman pointing a free in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute St Marys was awarded a penalty for handling on the ground in the small box which they netted leaving it a draw match. St Marys took the lead for the first and only time in the 14th, their last score of the half. Mark Newman got another two points, Ger Morgan got a blistering goal and a converted 45 while Trevor Lynch and Conor Kilgallen got a point a piece with Freddie Newman finishing off the half with two points one from play the a free, as Kilmainham led by 1-10 to 1-1.

The second half got off to fast speed with both sides rallying to score some splendid points and produced four goals, two for each side.

Stephen Newman, Gerard Morgan, Trevor Lynch, Peter Smith, Mark Newman and Freddie Newman stood out for the winners.
