Kildalkey had a comfortable win over Blackhall Gaels

Pre championship favourites and holders Kiltale made it two wins from two with six points to spare over Kilmessan. Dunboyne and Trim kept up the pressure on the Jubilee Cup holders in group A with their second wins. Kildalkey moved in to poll position in Group B with a comfortable victory over Blackhall Gaels. Killyon got back on track with a big win over struggling Rathmolyon. We pick our best XV from round 2 of the club hurling championship.

1 Sean Power, Kilmessan
His presence ensured Kilmessan didn't lose to Kiltale by more than six points.

2 Andy Feeney, Killyon
A stalwart in a Killyon defence that conceeded just 1-9 to Rathmolyon.

3 David Donoghue, Kiltale
A central figure in a Kiltale defence that conceeded nothing in the latter stages of win over Kilmessan.

4 Ciaran Ennis, Kiltale
A notable showing by this member of a strong Kiltale full-back line.

5 Ryan Andrews, Trim
Another strong performance from the wing-back as Trim recorded second win.

6 Ronan Ryan, Kiltale
Showed maturity beyond his years at centre back breaking up numerous Kilmessan attacks and keeping a tight reign on the experienced Nicky Horan.

7 David Kennedy, Killyon
A prominent presence in a strong Killyon rearguard that has leaked just one goal in two games.

8 Anthony Forde, Kiltale
His pace punctured the Kilmessan defence with decisive results

9 Niall Weir, Boardsmill
The pillar of Boardsmill resistance against superior local rivals.

10 James Kelly, Kiltale
Wore the number 13 jersey but covered the field for Kiltale. Scored two points, won loads of possession and frees duly converted by Jack Regan.

11 Neil Hackett, Dunboyne
Scoring rate and mobility were key to Dunboyne's margin of victory.

12 David Raleigh, Killyon
Top scorer from play with 1-4 as Killyon posted first win.

13 James Toher, Trim
Another controlled performance from the nominal number 13.

14 Sean McGrath, Dunboyne
Started at midfield but his move to full-forward was central to Dunboyne's decisive win.

15 Derek Doran, Kildalkey
His four goals against Blackhall Gaels owed much to persistence and pace.
