Ballinabrackey started with 0-3 before wing Back Conor smith opened the scoring for Clann na nGael.

With goals from Colm Carney, Conor Fenton and Graham Geraghty Clann na nGael led by 3-7 to 1-7 at half time. In the 2nd half the Bracks had many chances and by the half way stage had reduced the lead to 3 points. But with goals from Graham Geraghty and Kenny O Connell, Clann na nGael ran out winners by 5-15 to 1-14.
