Ballivor put themselves back in the frame for outright intermediate football championship honours with this win over Castletown in round 3 at Sean Newman Park Bohermeen.

Ballivor 0-9 Castletown 0-7

After an opening round loss to Dunderry, Ballivor have bounced back with two wins and move in to second spot in Group B, two points behind leaders Ratoath. These two clubs meet in the next round.

After 12 minutes Ballivor had raced in to a 0-4 to 0-0 lead and the eventual winners held a three point advantage at the break 0-6 to 0-3. Castletown came more in to the game in the second half but a solid all round team performance gave them a crucial two point win.

Ballivor scorers: Padraig Geoghegan 0-4, Steffan Kelly 0-3, Raymond McKeown and Paul Kelly 0-1 each.
