Clann NaGael 1-09

Ballinabrackey continued their good form in the league with a well deserved eight point win over Clann NaGael in the Boyne Park on Wednesday evening.

Played in excellent condition the Athboy/Rathcairn outfit were quickest out of the traps and raced into a 1-03 to 0-02 lead after 10 minutes, goal coming from the penalty spot. Once the Ballinabrackey team began to play a home win always looked likely. Dominating midfield and forwards Danny Quinn, Andrew Munnelly and Evan Daly causing many problems, Ballinabrackey went in at the break 1-09 to 1-05 ahead. The goal coming from the boot of Quinn.

Second half started much like the end of the first with the home team dominating all areas. Clann NaGael went almost 20 minutes without a score and in that time Ballinabrackey had built up a 2-11 to 1-05 lead.

The visitors did notch on some final frees but a tally of 0-06 points for Bracks man Chris O Connor was instrumental in the round seven clash. Points from Daly, Quinn and Curry finished the game with the Bracks running out comfortable winners.
