Nobber kept up their push for promotion with this victory over Oldcastle at Nobber on Wednesday evening.

If ever there was a match of contrasting fortunes this was one. Oldcastle were first out of the blocks registering 1.02 to no score inside the first 3 minutes. Nobber settled down after this and went on to play superb open attacking football scoring 2.10 in the process and limiting the opposition to one further score in this opening period.

On the restart Jamie Owens goaled to leave Nobber comfortably ahead 3.10 to 1.03 but again fortunes changed with Oldcastle controlling the rest of the half scoring 1.05 in the process. During this period the home side had the occasional chance but fluffed these with poor finishing. Nobbers best displays notably from their first half performance came from Jamie Owens, Sean Meade, Alan & Niall Farrell Gerard Campbell,  Brian O Reilly and Brendan Heffernan.
