The impressive facilities at St Patricks Stamullen

St Patrick's GAA Club Stamullen Have announced the Official Opening and Blessing of their Club Grounds and Complex on Sunday 3rd May.

Events on the day will start at 1pm with the blessing of the Grounds and Sports Complex by Bishop Michael Smith, Bishop of Meath joined by Father Declan Kelly, PP Stamullen and Rev Peter Rutherford, Rector, Church of Ireland Julianstown.

The blessing will be followed by the unveiling of a Plaque by out going Iar Uachtarain GAA Liam O'Neill and Meath County Board Chairman Conor Tormey who will declare the Complex officially open.

The Kentstown and Seneschalstown Accordion Band will lead a parade of the St Patrick's underage teams which will showcase the tremendous work being done at underage level within the club. It will be a proud day for all these young players and their parents.
The Band will also  lead out the Meath and Down senior teams who will play a Game to officially inaugurate the new pitches. The game will throw in at 3pm. This is a repeat of the two teams who played at Whyte Park in 1981 when the facilities and grounds were revamped at that time.

A Role of Honour will feature at half time presenting St Patrick's GAA Club players who have represented Meath and won Senior All Ireland Medals representing the County. Refreshments will be available in an outdoor marquee for those attending. There will be children's face painting etc. to keep the children entertained. Entrance for children is free on the day.

Later in the night the Club will host a Dance in the Sports hall with music supplied by Timezone. The Sports Hall will be converted into a spectacular indoor Marquee for the night with bar facilities and a great night is guaranteed for all. This will be a night of celebration for all Club Members and Supporters.

The hard working Opening Committee are striving to ensure that this will be a proud and memorable day for all club Members and the whole community who are using the facilities provided at the Club. We look forward to seeing all of our many supporters and members of the public there on the day and later in the night to celebrate this magnificent occasion.
